Our cottage opened for bookings in 2014 and is a 4 Star Gold Award rated secluded self-catered bolt-hole on the Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire border sleeping up to 4 people. Whether you are looking for a quiet break away from the busy hustle of the city, or a base for walking or exploring the area, we can make sure your stay is the relaxing break you are looking for.
The rural village of Langar is a relatively well kept secret and lies within the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. It is easily accessed from all directions and is located near to the delightful market town of Bingham with its shops, delicatessens, amenities and pubs only 3 miles away. We are fortunate enough to have the stunning Langar Hall, winner of Britain’s best rural hotel 2013, situated a few minutes walk from the cottage and is ideal for that special meal or occasion. The Unicorn’s Head, our local village pub, is an even shorter walk offering a wide range of meals 7 days a week.
The cottage is set in the grounds of a Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse and has its own paddock and field views. The accommodation comprises 2 elegant bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. A welcome hamper will await you at the cottage. It includes some basic items as well as freshly laid eggs from our own farmhouse hens! There is a large private garden with south facing patio area on which to eat breakfast or to simply stargaze in the evening. Parking for 2-3 cars is on the private drive adjacent to the cottage.
